Špela Petrič
Špela Petrič (1980), B.Sc., PhD was a post graduate student of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Medicine, Ljubljana, working with steroid transforming fungal enzymes. With a background in theater, her focus has shifted to performance and new media art, specifically bioart. The established yet controversial position of the scientist in society inspired her to produce work which uses (bio)technology for expressive playfulness, thus imposing an alternate perception of scientific methodology.
