“My career is divided into two parts, which are fairly independent of one another. On the one hand, I have my music career; I’m a composer of contemporary classical music, with more than 20 years’ experience. I’m involved in arts administration through San Diego New Music, of which I’m executive director, and in recording projects in the San Diego community. The other half of my professional life is technical in nature: I’m an audio engineer, focused on research and development in networked audio and media archiving. In particular, I develop high-quality streaming media systems for the cinema post-production industry. My goals are to continue to advance in both areas: to see my system designs adopted in a wide-spread fashion by the film industry, and advance my compositional career through continued commissions and performances.”
